KyoungSoo Kim | JDAEM 7(1) 1-13

Abstract : This study is seeking to address the visual image concept of advertising planning, and it can be categorized as the main image concept and background image concept. Absolut Vodka ads, widely known to the world, were divided into series split during 40 years, namely product-oriented, urban-oriented, and author/artwork-oriented advertisements, respectively, to examine their characteristics and the connection among the concepts. The main concepts can be summarized as ‘emphasis on product shape’, ‘personification of the product’ and 'only two keywords'. The background concepts are organized into‘simple background’, ‘use of background for empathy’ and ‘background’s synthesis and metaphor’. These concepts are related by simplification, convergence, and diversification. Advertising concepts tailored to the characteristics of the product should begin in the long run. The advertisement should be aimed at “although never changing, but always changing.”

Planning and Proposal of Virtual Experience Content in the Cultural Heritage Conservation Science Lab

Jong Hyo Cheong, Yeun-Hee Kim | JDAEM 7(1) 15-26

Abstract : Preservation history of Korea has grown significantly in a short period of time and the need for preservation of cultural assets has been recognized since the 1970s. The scientific preservation of cultural assets has emerged recently, not just in the type of dimension in which they are repaired and maintained, but in addition to preserving the value of cultural assets as much as possible and establishing a sense of pride and cultural identity for our culture. This study selected the theme of developing educational contents that can introduce the role of conservation science room and the importance of conservation science for continuous development of cultural heritage analysis and preservation science research, and through virtual reality space and game elements, interactive media contents that can be experienced and learned about preservation and treatment of cultural assets in museums are proposed. Interactive media is a media content that audiences can directly participate in, and such content can increase learning effectiveness by simply inducing interest and motivation rather than imagesimages.

Comparison of a 2D laparoscopic system for surgical imaging of gastric cancer patients: laparoscopic efficacy and ease of use

Eunji Kim, Young Jae Kim, Kwang Gi Kim, Woon Kee L | JDAEM 7(1) 27-34

Abstract : The most frequently diagnosed cancer in Korea has been gastric cancer. Since then, the laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer has become one of the standard treatments for early gastric cancer in Korea. Most of the hospitals in Korea use a brand laparoscopic system with a relatively high costs. Our study aims to evaluate the clinical applicability of locally made 2D laparoscopic system. A total of 40 patients with gastric cancer were recruited for this study. All surgical procedures and evaluations were done by three surgeons. Each surgeon was asked to score each patient using a set of questionnaire in accordance with the laparoscopic efficacy and ease of use. Image 1 HD rated superior in the categories of color saturation and image brightness. Image quality, focus, image distortion, field of view, direction of view, depth of field, fog prevention, image stability on bleeding, temperature change, manageability and convenience of use were rated similarly for both laparoscopes and showed no significant difference. Fencer-III seems to be a promising alternative to Image 1 HD in performing laparoscopic surgery, and this would economically help the hospitals in rural area to equip the laparoscopic system with much affordable price.

The Development of Blockchain Games by Analyzing the Current Status

MyounJae Lee | JDAEM 7(1) 35-47

Abstract : Blockchain technology is a technology that makes it difficult to fabricate and hack data by sharing data to all users connected to transactions. This blockchain technology is being applied to the content industry, distribution industry, medical industry, financial and medical industries, etc. In this study, the current status of blockchain technology applied to games is analyzed on focusing platform, genre, release date, deliberation, and virtual currency, and the direction of development is proposed based on analyzed data. To this end, the research papers, newspaper articles, and app stores (Google Store, Apple Store) be investigated. According to the research, domestic blockchain games currently mainly use Eos and Etherium as virtual money and have developed their own platforms. In addition, blockchain games were released after 2018 but are currently focusing on overseas services because they failed to pass the review due to the fact that they are gambling. To improve this, it is necessary to develop content that avoids gambling and to improve technology cooperation between UX/UI and game companies and blockchain technology companies, and to improve various profit paths.

Research on Historical and Cultural Resources of Tourist Cities by 3P Analysis Method -Take the ‘Spring City’-Jinan as an Example-

ChengTao Gong, Younghwan Pan | JDAEM 7(1) 49-62

Abstract : In order to better integrate historical and cultural resources into tourism brand design and improvement of tourism quality, this paper puts forward a 3P analysis method with literature research and field surveythe perspective of experience design. This method mainly sorts out tourist cities’ historical and cultural resources with determining the historical Place, historical People and events Performancethe time perspective. This paper also takes the ‘Spring City’-Jinan as the case example to discuss and sort out its historical and cultural resources in the framework of 3P analysis method. The analysis results show that, the 3P analysis method provides an innovative idea not only for comprehensive combing of historical and cultural resources of tourist cities but also for designing tourism products. This method is also valuable in clarifying the cultural characteristics of a tourist city. The details are as follows: inspiration for historical and cultural resources integration; highlighting the ‘uniqueness’ of cultural elements; inspiration for protecting ancient streets, old buildings and folk arts exhibition.

A Study on the User Experience of Serving Robot Service

Kiechan Namkung | JDAEM 7(1) 63-70

Abstract : Reflecting the recent trend in a new area of Foodtech, serving robot services in restaurants are being operated on a trial basis in Korea. In this study, the experience of customers receiving services through serving robots was analyzed through the service design methodology. The Serving Robot Service, analyzed by the Customer Journey Map and Touchpoint Technique, does not have sufficiently defined communication encounters with customers at the stage of serving during the service cycle should be in service. Serving robots also feature primarily communicating with customers through voice, but they are not properly designed to provide negative experiences to customers. To improve the user experience of these serving robots, it seems necessary to redefine the communication interface with customers and improve the auditory experience design.

A Study on the Technology and the Case of Virtual Reality Image Contents Creation

Myung-Hee Cha | JDAEM 7(1) 71-82

Abstract : Next to 3D, a new filming technology emerged: realistic media VR (Virtual Reality). VR is a concept that encompasses both Hologram, Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), but when it comes to filming technology, you can stitch 360-degree directions by stitching images taken by multiple cameras. It may also refer to doing. At present, research and service related to VR filming are being conducted continuously by various operators in each area of CPNT(Contents-Platform-Network-Terminal), including manufacturers, platform operators and content producers, and there is a willingness to grow VR as an axis of next generation media in the market. Therefore, this study examines the meaning of VR as the next generation media towing vehicle by looking at the overview of VR filming technology and the examples provided to real users.

Design and Implementation of VR Webtoon-Based Contents for Panic Disorder

Seong-Ho Shin, Won-Jun Jeong, Seong-Jin Cho, Seok- | JDAEM 7(1) 83-93

Abstract : VR related industries and markets are stabilizing and the contents are improving qualitatively. In the medical field, it has developed into educational and therapeutic methods, especially for treatment, it is used as an auxiliary treatment tool for mental illness and rehabilitation patients. Among them, mental illnesses have various causes due to the development of society. Because the environmentconditions that occur even if the same mental illness are different, we will make VR contents for treatment considering the number of cases. It is intended to provide an environment suitable for patients through exposure therapy, one of the treatment methods. Therefore, this paper implemented webtoon-based VR contents to be used for virtual reality exposure (VRE) among psychotherapy techniques of mentally ill people. The contents implemented focus on scenarios based on Panic disorder which is a problem in modern society.
