A Study on User Experience Elements of Micro-Interactions
Abstract : As devices movedesktops to mobile devices, mobile devices provide users with feedback on their tasks in various ways. Among them, microinteractions contribute to improving user experience by delivering meaningful feedback to users. In this study, we aimed to identify the components of microinteractions, such as triggers, rules, and feedback, and the specific interactions between users as affordances. Microinteractions are divided into user triggers and system triggers, and taps, long taps, drags, and swipes were used as start triggers depending on digital elements. Feedbackmicrointeractions mainly relied on visual feedback, which corresponded to cognitive affordances that allowed users to know what was happening. System triggers provided automatic feedback based on functional affordances. When affordances were unclear, users could not distinguish start triggers, and the need for additional microinteractions was highlighted. This study is meaningful in that it analyzed and classified triggers of microinteractions so that users could easily discover affordances and continue their experiences.

Abstract : This study utilized four image-generating AIs—ChatGPT, DALL·E, MidJourney, and Firefly—to create poster designs by adapting Shepard Fairey’s Hope poster style to selected members of BTS. The study outlines the characteristics and utilization steps of each AI tool as follows. First, through prompt refinement with ChatGPT, DALL·E was able to generate images resembling the actual appearance of BTS members. The limitations of DALL·E in directly specifying certain individualsstyles were addressed by employing indirect and circumlocutory descriptions suggested by ChatGPT. Second, the iterative image-text transformation process using MidJourney retained key elements of the original poster while generating creative interpretations with new visual perspectives. Third, Firefly was used to refine and supplement the creator's intent and prompts that had not been fully reflected in earlier stages. In conclusion, ChatGPT and DALL·E excelled at generating realistic images, MidJourney facilitated creative transformations and reinterpretations, and Firefly enhanced the overall quality of the posters through post-processing.

Study on the development of left turn lane front extension criteria at intersections
Abstract : The extension of the left-turn lane in an intersection has the effect of increasing the intersection capacity in chronically congested areas. However, since left-turning vehicles wait inside the intersection, the turning angle of the left-turning vehicles becomes relatively small. However, if the length of the ‘left-turn guidance lane’ is too long, the left-turning turning radius in the intersection becomes smaller than the minimum turning radius of the vehicle, and the left-turning vehicle may leave the guidance lane. In this case, the possibility of conflict with the left-turning vehicle on the opposite side increases, which increases the possibility of traffic accidents. Therefore, the appropriate length of the left-turn guidance lane should be presented according to the intersection type (3-way, 4-way intersection) and road width. In this study, the appropriate length of the left-turn guidance lane according to the intersection type and the number of lanes on the main and secondary roads was calculated using the PC-CRASH simulation, and the effect of increasing the intersection capacity when the appropriate length of the left-turn guidance lane calculated using the VISSIM simulation was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the maximum length of the left turn guidance lane was derived as 4m to 7m for each type, and the capacity of the left turn lane increased by 10 to 20%.

A Study on the Design of Passing Lane on a Two-way Bikeway
Abstract : In this study, a design plan for a passing lane on a bicycle road along a river in Korea was proposed. A simulation network of bicycle paths along a river was established, and the length of the appropriate passing lane was derived through simulations of the length of the road section and traffic volume. As a result of the analysis, it was analyzed that the length of the appropriate passing lane according to the decrease in the percentage of the bicycle group showed a similar trend overall, but no specific threshold appeared in the relatively short section of 1km to 3km of the road section. In addition, it was analyzed that even if the length of the passing lane is less than 100m, it does not show a significant role in the stability of bicycle traffic. It was suggested that 100m-200m is appropriate for the installation of an efficient passing lane on a bicycle road along a river in Korea when the length of the road section is more than 5km, and 300m-400m is appropriate for 600cars/hour. In addition, it was suggested that 500m-600m is appropriate for the passing lane when bicycle traffic is 800 cars/hour to 1,000 cars/hour, and 600m-700m is appropriate for 1,200 cars/hour to 2,000 cars/hour.

Traffic Volume Prediction Using Deep Learning Algorithms
Abstract : This study proposes a traffic volume prediction model utilizing various deep learning algorithms and aims to demonstrate the superiority of deep learning through a performance comparison with traditional prediction models. As a result, the LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) model exhibited the highest predictive performance, showing that it can achieve more refined predictions than existing statistical methods. Deep learning models have the advantage of effectively analyzing traffic volume data, and recent technologies such as Spatio-Temporal Neural Networks have shown promise in traffic volume prediction. While traditional statistical methods were unable to adequately account for the nonlinearity and complexity of traffic data, deep learning techniques effectively addressed these challenges, thereby improving prediction accuracy. This study provides foundational data for traffic management and urban planning, indicating the need for future research that incorporates external factors (e.g., weather, events, etc.). Such research is expected to facilitate the integration of deep learning-based traffic volume prediction models into real-time traffic management systems, efficiently regulating traffic flow and reducing congestion. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the potential of deep learning technologies in the field of traffic volume prediction and emphasizes the necessity for continuous improvement in predictive performance through the integration of diverse algorithms and data sources.

Abstract : As interest in a healthy indoor environment increases with the improvement of quality of life, the demand for air-purifying companion plants is also growing. While companion plants offer emotional stability and air purification benefits, selecting and managing the appropriate plants can be challenging without prior knowledge. In the researcher’s previous study, a plant recommendation system based on MBTI personality types was introduced to help users choose suitable plants. Building on the achievements of that study, this research further enhances the application by adding a management feature that utilizes real-time weather data through OpenWeatherAPI. Not only that a new function that analyzes the condition of a plant based on a trained AI dataset and provides real-time feedback on the plant’s status has been added. Through these improvements, it is expected that users will be able to easily plants that match their MBTI personality and continuously care for them with the guidance provided in real time.

Effects of Weather Conditions on Road Surface Damage
Abstract : This study analyzed the impact of weather conditions on road surface damage across five regions: the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang. Using datathe past three years, weather variables such as rainfall, temperature, and rainfall intensity were considered to identify the influencing factors in each region. The results showed that the effect of weather factors on road surface damage varied by region. In Chungcheong and Gyeongsang, rainfall was found to have a significant impact on road surface damage, whereas in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon, weather factors had minimal influence, suggesting that other factors such as traffic volume and vehicle types may play a more significant role. Consequently, the study concludes that differentiated road maintenance policies are needed for each region. In particular, drainage management and measures to address heavy rainfall are essential in Chungcheong and Gyeongsang, while traffic and snow removal factors should be considered in road management for the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon. The results of this study are expected to serve as fundamental data for establishing region-specific road maintenance strategies in response to climate change.

A Study for Technological trends and prospects for piano pedals
Abstract : The development of piano pedal technology began even before the invention of the piano, driven by the need to control tone and sustain in earlier keyboard instruments like the harpsichord and clavichord. Although these early instruments required similar functionalities, it wasn’t until the piano’s invention that dedicated pedal mechanisms were developed. Cristofori first introduced the hand stop, but due to its inconvenience for players, the knee lever was later created. By the late 18th century, the foot pedal was invented, significantly improving the player’s control and laying the foundation for modern pedal systems. Both grand and upright pianos utilize various pedals such as the soft pedal, damper pedal, sostenuto pedal and practice pedal while digital pianos have replicated these functions. Digital pianos offer additional features like volume control, allowing musicians to create a broader range of sound effects. The evolution of piano pedal technology has also been protected by patents, influencing the design of modern pedals. However, challenges with precision control, durability, and noise remain. Proposed future innovations include using link systems to improve pedal sensitivity, introducing electronic pedals similar to those in digital pianos, and reducing the weight of dampers to minimize friction and noise. These advancements aim to enhance pedal functionality and enable more refined playing techniques.
